Healthy yoghurt breakfast

Yoghurt, fruit, nuts, seeds and coconut.  We have this breakfast every second morning.

We think it’s the best healthy and easy yoghurt combination around.  Although, we might be biased 🙂

I remember what it was like when the kids were growing up and I was leaving the house for work each day.  The busiest and most frustrating time of the day for any busy woman is at breakfast.

You’re trying to get ready for work plus cover your nutritional needs for a productive morning.  You want something quick, easy and packed with proteins, healthy fats and nutrients.  And, it has to taste good.

Instead of reaching for the packet cereal, here’s a quick and highly nutritious breakfast to keep energy up, boost mood, control anxiety or overwhelm, increase brain function and stop late morning cravings from blood sugar drops.

It takes about 15 seconds to put together and the kids can help themselves if they’re big enough

Choose ingredients that the whole family love

Yoghurt, berries, nuts, seeds and coconut. Simple but delicious!

One of the quickest and easiest breakfasts ever for busy women to keep you going for longer!

Here’s some ideas

But, choose whatever ingredients you enjoy and have on hand.

Be prepared.  Collect an assortment of healthy ingredients for your pantry and fridge.  You can use this breakfast idea as a staple every day meal, or for emergencies when time is short, or you run out of eggs.

  • Yoghurt – Greek or coconut is delicious (not sweetened)
  • Nuts – walnuts, almonds, macadamias, cashews, hazelnuts, brazil (so many varieties to choose from to list here, so enjoy your favourite ones).  Nuts are full of minerals, protein and fibre so don’t skimp on them.
  • Fruit – berries, mandarins, apple, dried fruits, pears, passionfruit, mango, banana, pineapple – whatever is in season.  We use frozen blueberries for an extra burst of antioxidants.
  • Seeds – try some pepitas, sunflower, chia
  • Coconut – for a general dose of healthy fats to satisfy your blood sugar and help keep those cravings at bay.
  • Grains – you can add in oats or rice porridge for an added energy boost, or a granola is delicious sprinkled over the top

Enjoy!

With your health in mind,
